Emma
grew up in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney and was educated at St
Vincent’s College Potts Point. She attended UNSW to complete her 3
undergraduate degrees. Her first career was as an English, History and
Drama teacher and then she took up a life long passion of studying and
working in the law. Emma relocated to Bathurst in 2001.
Emma
previously worked in several legal firms in Sydney before becoming an
Associate at King Cain in Bathurst and then as a Prosecutor for the
Director of Public Prosecutions. She has worked ‘both sides of the
criminal law fence’ which gives her an edge over most criminal law
practitioners. She has extensive experience in Family Law and advocacy.
Emma has personal experience working in the retail, education, government, administration and legal sectors.
Currently Emma is studying to obtain a Master of Laws from the University of New England.
Emma is married to Murray with a daughter Matilda and a stepson Jakoby, and her beautiful (but spoilt) Labrador “Kokoda”.
Emma
loves Bathurst and is highly involved in the local area as the
President of the Carillon Theatrical Society and loves ‘drama’ and ‘the
theatre’ above most things. She enjoys watching rugby union, reading,
and drinking red wine.
